This memorial program from the 1938 Camporee of the Otschodela Council of the Boy Scouts of America has a buff-colored heavy paper cover printed with a photograph of Daniel C. Beard, who was a guest of honor at the Camporee held in Walton, New York. Otschodela Council, which represents Otsego, Schoharie and Delaware counties, honored Daniel C. Beard as a founder of the modern Boy Scouts and also had former heavyweight champion James J. Braddock as a special guest, who is depicted on horseback on the rear cover. The pamphlet outlines the Camporee schedule of activities, names of organizers, participants and sponsors, and includes a little bit about scouting, including the Boy Scouts motto, oath and so on. This pamphlet is in great shape, very crisp and clean, some mild creasing. 12 pages; approx. 5"x7".
