Experienced duty free veteran John Gallagher will join Duty Free Global to Head up sales in the Latin American region.
Gallagher has worked with a broad range of iconic spirits brands throughout his career in both travel retail and domestic channels.
Gallagher recalls that his first duty free experience was designing a light box transparency for Teachers Scotch Whisky for Gatwick Airport, back in 1981. Gallagher also worked for United Distillers (Diageo) and Invergordon Distillers (taken over by Whyte & Mackay) before joining Larios SA in Spain to spearhead international expansion prior to the company joining the Pernod Ricard stable.
In 2008 Gallagher set up his own consultancy company and has worked on projects for a number of companies including, Hunter Laing, Danzka-Behn and Zamora International.
